[About Sahari Orin]

The singing bowls "orin" are made by Nanjo Kobo in Uji, Kyoto, which specializes in making orin, bayashi gongs, and musical instruments for Shinto and Buddhist altars, based on the advanced techniques and wisdom cultivated over a history of over 200 years since its founding.

"Sahari" is an alloy of copper and tin that was used in the Shosoin treasures of ancient times. Nanjo Kobo makes use of the characteristics of the material with its unique blend ratio and traditional techniques that have been passed down through the generations to create unique tones.
